With the new school upon us, you’ll need a good system that balances working hard with much needed relaxation and internet surfing. Some new research offers surprising study tips!
If you’ve been sitting at your computer for an hour “working,” you may have your parents fooled, but I know that you’re most likely browsing dancing baby videos on YouTube, checking out the latest GIF list of Buzzfeed, or whatever else you do while you’re procrastinating. Well guess what? That’s fine, keep doing what you’re doing! New research from the folks behind DeskTime (a software program that tracks what people do on their computers at work) found that the most productive people work for 52 minutes straight, then take a 17 minute break. Sure, it might be better if your break was spent getting outdoors for some sunshine and vitamin D, but if you’d rather stay at the computer and zone out with the latest online trends, who am I to judge?
Here’s a roundup of some things that have been trending on the web lately. Check them out, enjoy your 17 minutes, then get back to work for the next 52!
